Are you looking for a child-friendly restaurant in Sorrento that also serves sushi?
Make sure you visit Chopstix!
We had a wonderful time here:)
We live in Japan, so my kids are accustomed to eating sushi (particularly onigiri rice balls) as snacks. But when we are in Australia all we eat are pies and sausage rolls! So today I decided to find a place that serves sushi, so my kids could enjoy eating rice again.
I ordered 6 sushi nori rolls – 2 x avocado, 2 x chicken teriyaki, and 2 x prawn.
The plain avocado sushi rolls were the most popular with my kids! My daughter also liked the chicken, but my son’s favourite was the avocado. Just $4 per roll, it was a great lunch snack for them! I had the Tom Yum noodle soup which was also delicious!
Another highlight of the restaurant is that it has a kids playground out the front! My kids thoroughly enjoyed playing there while we were waiting for the sushi to be served. It was fantastic, as we were all tired from playing at the playground, so this kept the kids entertained while we waited. There is also outdoor seating, so it would be perfect to takeout the sushi and eat on the bench seats while the kids played.
- Name: Chopsti Noodle Bar
- Address: 120 Ocean Beach Rd, Sorrento VIC 3943
- How to get there: Located on Sorrento main street
- Cost: About $10 (sushi was just $4 per roll. I ordered 2 rolls each, so you can see the 2 rolls on the plate in the photos below)
- Diaper changing table: No (but the all-access toilet was large enough for a stroller, so you could technically change diapers in your stroller in the toilet if you like. Alternatively you could change diapers at the public toilet up the road if you need)
