“We both have two kiddies each and our big ones

“We both have two kiddies each and our big ones just started school this year. As you can imagine, we had hopeful dreams that 2020 was our year! With a little more time up our sleeve [& one less kid demanding snacks], we’d be able to execute our plan for world domination [or just Australia at least]. But remote learning & extended periods of time cooped up inside with our kids, put a grinding halt to some of our plans. Timelines & expectations needed to be adjusted.

Also, small businesses [like ours] have been hit this year as the economy crumbles. Most people are busy bulk buying toilet paper & hand sanitiser, not cleansers & eye creams. Helping Mums see that they deserve quality skincare is already challenging. Y’know, b’coz Mums will spend oodles on their kids to have the latest this & that, but they’ll wear the same holey undies until the last thread gives up. So, during an economic crisis, it’s even harder for Mums to spend and invest in their own care. We try to help by giving lots of skincare tips [regardless of whether they’re a customer or not] & having a few sales to help skincare dreams come true.”

I took this photo this morning at sunrise. The cliffs in Mornington Peninsula are amazing when the sun shines on them! Such a beautiful place to be. I just worry about the erosion. Every time there is a storm some of the rocks fall down and gradually the cliff gets thinner and thinner. I wish we could do more to protect it. I noticed some people have planted trees and shrubs to strengthen the soil structure. During this lockdown period they allow 1 person in the cafe at a time, and you can also call to preorder in advance. You can wait outside for your coffees and the staff will bring it out for you. Good morning. Today is Thursday! Nearly the weekend. Even though we are in lockdown and we’re at home everyday, I still cherish the weekends. Luckily I can work from home with my company, but it also means weekdays are busy with back to back meetings on zoom. So I’m looking forward to taking a break. Thankfully we live within 5km of the beach AND I discovered that the Briars is also just within 5km! I thought it was too far, but I checked that map and thankfully the Briars is inside 5km for us. So we can still visit there for some nature walks. We managed to survive Day 2 of Lockdown 2.0. My kids mostly played as it was a pupil free day today. It hailed so many times! The frequent hail kept my kids busy, looking out the window at the crazy weather. I hope the weather fines up soon so the kids can play in the backyard again. Does anyone have trouble sleeping? I woke up at 5am this morning, so I ended up getting up and having a cup of tea. So here I am, sitting in the loungeroom, listening to the stormy weather outside. Maybe it was the wind that woke me up. I realized I didn’t bring in all the kids toys and our shoes from outside on the porch. The wind is so strong sometimes here in Mornington Peninsula that it blows everything away! I hope you are all okay. These flowers from @flowergirlsandco are cheering me up. The roses are such a beautiful pink! I’ve got them sitting in a vase on the table to brighten up the kitchen.
